Specials at Auto City: Great Deals on Used Cars

used cars specials

At Auto City we like to sell cars fast. So what do we do if a car does not sell fast enough? We lower the price! It does not mean that there is anything wrong with the car. All our vehicles are carefully selected and reconditioned. It may be the wrong color, or the market may become flooded with this particular model, or good old bad luck. Either way, our used car specials are some of the best deals around!

You may have noticed that many car dealerships including Auto City have certain cars listed as specials. We thought you might like to know what this means and how Auto City handles aged inventory so you can benefit from it.

In a perfect world, we would always sell each and every car within a rapid timeframe. But as you may have noticed, we don’t live in a perfect world! When a car doesn’t sell right away, it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with it. It just means there aren’t any buyers for that particular make/model at the first price we put on it. Maybe we got the price wrong to begin with. Hey, we’re very good at what we do, but we’re not perfect. And the used car market is in a constant state of flux. Those used cars selling like hotcakes right now might not be the used cars people want a few weeks or months from now.

Auto City is a used car dealership that operates on the firm pricing model. We think having to negotiate the price of a used car is a waste of everyone’s valuable time. We also think it makes the whole process of used car shopping way more stressful than it needs to be. Our whole point in creating Auto City was to come up with new ways of doing things – car shopping you will love. There’s no way you’ll love shopping for a used car if you have to go through endless rounds of offers and counter-offers. That’s why Auto City has a haggle-free policy. So rather than the hassle and stress of negotiating to maximize the price on a few cars, we price our cars with transparent, up-front, competitive prices because we want to sell that car as fast as possible. We’re trying to maximize the number of cars sold rather than trying to maximize the price we get on each car. And we literally put you in the driver’s seat, not only to test-drive the car, but to steer the whole car shopping process at the pace you want it to go. We won’t ever pressure you to make a fast decision, which is never a good idea when you’re making such a big purchase.

When a car on our lot doesn’t sell right away, we start dropping the price because it’s taking up room and holding us up from selling other cars. And we keep lowering its price until it sells. When we’ve dropped the price a substantial amount, we also list the car on our View Specials page, which means what started out as a decent deal just got a whole lot better, and that’s good news for you!

Now you know our approach to aged inventory. To see the vehicles that we simply have to sell, please visit our used car specials page or give us a call!
